Tarun Amla
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Tarun Amla is Isola’s Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, responsible for leading the company’s worldwide efforts in R&D and engineering. Tarun also directs the company’s OEM-marketing organization, which works closely with the world’s leading electronic OEMs and equipment designers to understand their requirements for innovative new materials. The insights gained by the OEM-marketing organization inform and help guide Isola’s R&D efforts.
Tarun’s career with Isola and its predecessor companies spans more than 20 years. He has experience in general management, manufacturing operations, engineering, product technology, marketing and sales. Tarun has a bachelor of technology degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India. He also holds a master of engineering degree from Arizona State University, with an emphasis on modeling and simulation; a master of science degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in computational mechanics from Purdue University and an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
