CHANDLER, ARIZONA, December 19, 2008 - Isola Group S.a.r.l., a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of high performance base materials for the printed circuit board industry, today announced the closure of its Fremont, CA operation to be effective February 18, 2009. The company is adjusting capacity to bring output in line with the declining
North America Market. Matt LaRont, President, Isola USA comments, "This is a very unfortunate event, and we have no option but to respond accordingly to what the market has done and what we think the outlook is into 2009."
Isola, the largest independent laminate manufacturer worldwide, competes on a global scale with multiple manufacturing and R&D facilities throughout the world. Isola will continue to service their U.S. customers from their three remaining manufacturing facilities in Elk Grove, CA, Chandler, AZ, and Ridgeway, SC. Customers will be able to order products previously manufactured at the Fremont, CA operation through these other U.S. manufacturing locations.
