FR406HR is a unique upgrade of our widely used FR406 resin system. FR406HR was developed with improved thermal performance while maintaining similar electrical properties of FR406.
Integration of our proprietary resin technology results in laminate and prepreg that has a 180°C Tg by DSC and a 340°C Td. The resin system delivers improved z-axis expansion, significantly reduced moisture sensitivity, and similar Dk and Df compared to high-Tg, dicy-cured FR-4 materials.
FR406HR has been designed for ease of processing with typical FR4 process equipment and chemistry. The laminate and prepreg construction options have been optimized for high layer count designs, excellent fill and flow into heavy copper features compared to filled resin systems, robust high temperature assembly, and CAF resistance.
The combination of electrical properties and improved thermal properties make the transition of legacy products currently built on a high-Tg, dicy-cured FR-4 to a robust lead free platform considerably easier using FR406HR.
