This European Directive restricts the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment above prescribed thresholds. In 2015, EU published Directive 2015/863/EU to include additional chemicals. Each of the following substances is restricted to less than 1000 ppm:
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)]
- Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP)
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
- Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
- Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
Cadmium is restricted to 100 ppm.
Isola tests each of our prepreg and laminate products for the RoHS substances annually at an accredited third-party lab to confirm that our products are fully compliant.
