20-year printed circuit board veteran will support PCB designers throughout Europe
CHANDLER, Ariz., February 10, 2015 — Isola Group, a market leader in copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), announced today that Alexander Ippich has joined the company as a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer for its European Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Marketing team. In this role, he will provide training and solutions for customers and provide engineering for product and process development activities throughout Europe.
Specializing in radio-frequency transmission line theory, Mr. Ippich received a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Mr. Ippich is fluent in German and English and is based out of the company’s Duren, Germany facility.
Mr. Ippich’s career in the printed circuit board industry spans more than two decades. He has held various positions in corporate technology, application engineering and research and development for such companies as Hewlett-Packard, Multek and, most recently, Feinmetall GmbH. His experience includes the selection and implementation of test methods to determine signal integrity for high-speed digital printed circuit boards, including the following techniques: Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), multiport Vector Network Analysis (VNA), Single-Ended TDR to Differential Insertion Loss (SET2DIL), Short Pulse Propagation (SPP) and microprobing. He is also familiar with software tools that simulate transmission characteristics of PCBs. Mr. Ippich also has extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of extremely complex PCB products for the high-end high-speed digital and radio-frequency markets.
