Isola New Quick-turn Laminate and Prepreg Fabrication Facility

Recognizing the trend of the US PCB industry shifting demand from large-scale manufacturing to quick-turn prototyping of high quality copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials, Isola is planning a new and state-of-the-art facility for 2020 that will meet this need head-on. The new quick-turn laminate and prepreg fabrication facility in the Chandler, AZ area will be specifically geared to offering Isola’s customers with greatly reduced lead times, even with Isola’s most advanced materials.

Isola Signs Lease on Chandler Quick Turn Facility

Isola has finalized the deal for its new quick turn facility in Chandler, Arizona. The new manufacturing site will house three presses – two hot oil and one cold. Each press will have ten openings and be able to handle a 50×56 maximum plate size. The facility will have a fully automated lay-up line and two fully automated finishing lines.

Isola’s corporate headquarters will move to the QTA facility in October of this year. Its Research and Development team will follow in November.

The facility is expected to be fully operational in Q1 of 2020.

Isola recently hosted Bosch employees at “Bosch Day” at the offices of ELEKONTA MAREK in Gerlingen, Germany.

Isola recently invited 50 Bosch staff members to a special automotive workshop at the offices of ELEKONTA in Gerlingen, Germany. Isola’s Carsten Doelfs, Bernd Flossbach and Alex Ippich teamed up with:
– PETERS for “Coating Innovation for Electronics”;
– ELEKONTA MAREK PCBs for “RF Applications and special materials”.
The workshop included a review of technical papers from PETERS, ELEKONTA and ISOLA. The customized papers highlighted Isola’s thermostable products. The days event received very positive responses from the Bosch attendees.

Isola Group Successfully Transfers Ownership to Investment Group Led by Cerberus Capital Management
